Honda TRX450ER SPORTRAX 2008 Parts & Accessories

First introduced for the 2004 model year, the Honda SportTrax TRX450R was engineered as the spiritual and high-performance four-stroke successor to the legendary TRX250R. Designed for top-tier GNC ATV motocross and desert racing competition, the TRX450R derived its high-revving 449 cc single-cylinder architecture from Honda's championship-winning CRF450R motocross motorcycle. The initial generation (2004–2005) featured a kick-start 42 mm Keihin setup, while the major 2006 redesign introduced a revised short-stroke bore and stroke profile, a higher 12.0:1 compression ratio, titanium valves, a 40 mm Keihin FCR flat-slide carburetor, and an optional electric-start variant (TRX450ER). Built with a high-tensile steel frame, independent double-wishbone front suspension, and Pro-Link rear linkage, the TRX450R claimed multiple Baja 1000 victories and national ATV motocross titles.

• High-tensile steel tube frame with removable aluminum rear subframe and extended aluminum swingarm
• Independent double-wishbone front suspension with Showa piggyback shocks fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound damping providing 213 mm (8.4 in) wheel travel
• Pro-Link single Showa rear shock absorber with remote reservoir, fully adjustable for spring preload, compression, and rebound damping providing 236 mm (9.3 in) wheel travel
• Dual 174 mm hydraulic front disc brakes with twin-piston calipers and a single 190 mm hydraulic rear disc brake with single-piston caliper
• Close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission with heavy-duty wet multi-plate clutch and chain final drive
• 22x7-10 front and 20x10-9 rear knobby radial sport tires on lightweight aluminum wheels
