Featuring a revised pin design and CRH chromium carbide coating for maximum wear reduction and performance. A total weight reduction of 3% has been achieved through lightening holes on the inner plates. This also aids in service life as heat is dissipated more quickly and dirt builds up less.

Chromium Carbide (CRH) Pin treatment is utilised on racing chain applications. This treatment process provides an extremely hard outer coat but maintains a softer inside, which EK determined increases strength but reduces wear. Exclusive to EK, this tech offers superior impact and shock absorbtion, as well as a reduction in oxidation caused by natural elements.

Featured on many of EK’s racing and motocross chains are lightening holes. Here specialised manufacturing allows EK to add holes to each side plate, resulting in a total weight saving of 3% without sacrificing any tensile strength. These lightening holes also extend chain life by dissipating heat and deterring mud build up.
