Derbi 50 BOULEVARD 2009 Parts & Accessories

Founded in 1922 by Simeón Rabasa i Singla in Mollet del Vallès, Spain, Derbi began as a small bicycle repair shop before expanding into motorcycle manufacturing. The brand name is an acronym derived from the phrase Derivado de Bicicleta ("derived from bicycle"). Derbi built a formidable global racing legacy throughout the mid-to-late 20th century, earning the nickname "Red Bullets" after securing 21 Grand Prix World Championships across the 50cc, 80cc, and 125cc classes with legendary riders like Ángel Nieto and Jorge Martínez Aspar. Acquired by the Piaggio Group in 2001, Derbi specialized in lightweight, high-performance two-stroke and four-stroke small-displacement motorcycles, supermotos, and sportbikes aimed at young urban and off-road enthusiasts.

  • GPR: Grand Prix Replica — Full-faired sportbikes and naked streetfighters ("Nude")
  • Mulhacén: Scrambler and roadster series named after the highest peak in mainland Spain
  • DRD: "Derbi Racing Development" — Premium, high-spec variants featuring upgraded brakes and suspension
  • Terra: Lightweight adventure-touring and dual-sport platforms
