Honda CR500R 1993 Parts & Accessories

First introduced in 1984 as the air-cooled CR500R (evolving from the 1981–1983 CR450R/CR480R) and liquid-cooled from 1985 through its final production year in 2001, the Honda CR500R remains legendary as one of the most powerful and feared open-class two-stroke motocross bikes ever built. Renowned for its brutal power delivery, massive low-end torque, and relentless acceleration, the 491 cc single-cylinder machine dominated 500 cc Grand Prix Motocross and desert racing events like the Baja 1000. Operating without an exhaust power valve system throughout its liquid-cooled lifespan, the CR500R retained a steel cradle frame through its entire 17-year run, becoming a iconic benchmark of raw, unfiltered two-stroke performance before open-class two-strokes were phased out of professional competition.
