Introduced in 2004 as part of the successor line to the two-stroke CR series, the Honda CRF250R is a high-performance, liquid-cooled four-stroke motocross motorcycle engineered strictly for closed-course racing. Featuring an over-square engine design with short piston skirts to minimize reciprocating mass and maximize engine speed, the CRF250R has continuously evolved across multiple generations—transitioning to double overhead camshafts (DOHC), titanium valves, electronic fuel injection (PGM-FI), and standard electric start. As a mainstay in Honda's competition lineup, it remains a premier, race-proven platform designed for high-RPM power and track responsiveness.
