Introduced in 2017 as a Dakar rally-inspired derivative of the standard dual-sport model, the Honda CRF250L Rally featured adventure-focused upgrades designed for long-distance off-road touring. Sharing the same liquid-cooled 249.6 cc single-cylinder DOHC engine as the standard 2017+ CRF250L, the Rally model added distinctive adventure styling, increased fuel capacity, upgraded suspension travel, and superior wind protection until its replacement by the CRF300L Rally in 2021.

• 249.6 cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve 4-stroke single-cylinder engine producing 24.4 HP @ 8,500 RPM and 16.7 lb-ft (22.6 Nm) torque @ 6,750 RPM
• 38 mm PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system with electric push-button start
• Dakar-inspired floating rally windscreen, frame-mounted bodywork, asymmetrical LED headlights, and engine skid plate
• Expanded 10.1-litre (2.7 US gal) fuel tank capacity providing an estimated range of over 200 miles (320 km)
• 43 mm Showa inverted (USD) telescopic front forks with extended 280 mm (11.0 in) wheel travel
• Pro-Link single Showa rear shock absorber providing 260 mm (10.3 in) wheel travel and 270 mm (10.6 in) ground clearance
• Larger 296 mm single hydraulic floating front disc brake (up from 256 mm) with dual-piston caliper and 220 mm single rear disc (optional switchable rear ABS)
• 6-speed manual transmission with wet multi-plate clutch and chain final drive
• 895 mm (35.2 in) seat height and 157 kg (346 lbs) curb weight ready-to-ride
• 21-inch front (3.00-21) and 18-inch rear (120/80-18) spoked aluminum wheels with dual-sport tires
