First introduced in 2005, the Honda CRF450X is Honda’s dedicated open-class off-road and endurance competition motorcycle, famed for its dominance in grueling desert endurance races like the Baja 1000. Based on the performance foundation of the CRF450R motocross platform, the CRF450X was tailored specifically for trail, woods, and desert terrain by integrating electric start, wide-ratio gearing, smooth Unicam power delivery, and full off-road compliance. Major generational updates in 2019 introduced fuel injection, a 6-speed transmission, an updated lightweight aluminum frame, and an 18-inch rear wheel, cementing its status as an benchmark long-distance off-road machine.
