Honda XL700V TRANSALP 2008 Parts & Accessories

Introduced in 2008 to replace the XL650V, the Honda XL700V Transalp was produced through 2012, bringing major modernizations to Honda's long-running middleweight adventure touring series. Fitted with a larger 680 cc 52° V-twin engine featuring 4-valve cylinder heads and PGM-FI fuel injection, the XL700V delivered sharper throttle response, cleaner emissions, and improved highway efficiency. The XL700V shifted the model toward a more road-biased adventure-touring role by introducing a smaller 19-inch front wheel, restyled aerodynamic bodywork, an updated frame, and optional Combined ABS (C-ABS).

• 680 cc liquid-cooled SOHC 8-valve 52° V-twin engine producing 59 HP (44.1 kW) @ 7,750 RPM and 44 lb-ft (60 Nm) torque @ 6,000 RPM
• 36 mm PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system with digital transistorized ignition and electric start
• Steel double-cradle frame with box-section steel swingarm and frame-mounted adventure fairing
• 41 mm Showa telescopic front forks providing 177 mm (7.0 in) wheel travel
• Pro-Link single Showa rear shock absorber with spring preload and rebound damping adjustability providing 173 mm (6.8 in) wheel travel
• Dual 256 mm hydraulic front disc brakes with dual-piston calipers and a single 240 mm hydraulic rear disc brake (optional 3-piston front caliper Combined ABS system)
• 5-speed manual transmission with wet multi-plate clutch and chain final drive
• 19-inch front (100/90-19) and 17-inch rear (130/80-17) spoked aluminum rims with dual-sport tires
• 214 kg (472 lbs) curb weight / 219 kg (483 lbs) with ABS, with a 17.5-litre (4.6 US gal) fuel tank capacity
