Honda XR400R 2000 Parts & Accessories

Introduced in 1996 to bridge the gap between the agile XR250R and the heavy XR600R, the Honda XR400R became one of the most versatile, respected, and enduring four-stroke trail and enduro motorcycles ever produced. Built on a stiff semi-double-cradle frame with long-travel suspension, the XR400R combined lightweight handling with broad, tractable power across the rev range. Powered by an air-cooled RFVC single-cylinder engine, it was famously easy to maintain, virtually indestructible, and adaptable to everything from local trail riding and hard-enduro racing to dual-sport conversions until its production ended in 2004.

• 397 cc air-cooled RFVC (Radial Four Valve Combustion Chamber) SOHC 4-valve 4-stroke single-cylinder engine producing approx. 34 HP @ 7,000 RPM and 25 lb-ft (34 Nm) torque @ 5,500 RPM
• 36 mm Keihin piston-valve carburetor with primary kick starter and automatic decompressor system
• High-tensile semi-double-cradle steel frame with oil-in-frame dry-sump lubrication design
• 43 mm Showa leading-axle cartridge front forks with adjustable compression and rebound damping providing 280 mm (11.0 in) wheel travel
• Pro-Link single Showa rear shock absorber with fully adjustable preload, compression, and rebound damping providing 300 mm (11.8 in) wheel travel
• 240 mm hydraulic single front disc brake with dual-piston caliper and 220 mm hydraulic single rear disc brake
• 5-speed manual transmission with heavy-duty wet multi-plate clutch and chain final drive
• 21-inch front (80/100-21) and 18-inch rear (110/100-18) spoked aluminum rims with knobby off-road tires
• 117 kg (257 lbs) dry weight / 125 kg (275 lbs) wet weight with a 9.5-litre (2.5 US gal) fuel tank capacity
