Introduced in 1988 as Kawasaki's flagship sportbike, the Kawasaki Tomcat ZX-10 held the crown as the world's fastest production motorcycle of its era. Driven by a potent 997 cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine fed by semi-downdraft Keihin carburetors, it produced a massive 135 horsepower for effortless top-end velocity. Famous as the first Kawasaki motorcycle to feature an aluminum perimeter frame—the "E-box" design—the ZX-10 set new benchmarks for high-speed stability, aerodynamic efficiency, and long-range sport-touring comfort.
