Suzuki AN400 BURGMAN 2017 Parts & Accessories
First introduced in 1998 as the Skywave in Japan and marketed globally as the Burgman, the Suzuki Burgman Series pioneered the modern "maxi-scooter" segment, merging commuter convenience with highway touring capability. Spanning a wide range of displacements—from small-capacity urban commuter models like the Burgman 125/200 and Burgman Street up to mid-sized touring variants—the lineup emphasized step-through chassis architecture, plush seat designs, low centers of gravity, and expansive under-seat storage compartments capable of holding full-face helmets. Designed with protective front fairings, tall windscreens, and automatic V-belt Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT), these middle-to-lightweight maxi-scooters set the standard for urban mobility and suburban highway commuting.

Introduced in 2002 and manufactured through 2020 as the ultimate expression of the maxi-scooter concept, the Suzuki Burgman 650 (AN650) bridges the gap between luxury scooters and heavy sport-touring motorcycles. Powered by a liquid-cooled 638 cc parallel-twin engine mounted rigidly in a tubular steel frame, the AN650 was built around Suzuki’s innovative electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (SECVT). The SECVT allowed riders to switch seamlessly between fully automatic drive modes (Drive and Power) or manual gear selection via push-button handlebar switches simulating a 6-speed gearbox. Equipped with dual front disc brakes with ABS, power-retractable side mirrors, an electronically adjustable windscreen, heated grips, and a passenger backrest, the Burgman 650 delivered high-speed multi-state touring capabilities.
