Introduced for the 2025 model year as the long-awaited next-generation successors to the iconic DR-Z400 line, the Suzuki DR-Z4S (Dual-Sport) and DR-Z4SM (Supermoto) represent a comprehensive modern ground-up redesign. Powered by an extensively updated 398 cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-valve single-cylinder engine, the platform retains the robust dry-sump architecture of its predecessor while introducing major technological upgrades—including titanium intake valves, hollow sodium-filled exhaust valves, dual spark plugs, Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle control, and 10-hole electronic fuel injection to meet stringent Euro 5+ emissions standards. Built on a new steel twin-spar frame with an aluminum subframe and aluminum swingarm, both models feature the electronic Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which provides switchable Suzuki Traction Control System (STSC) modes (including an off-road Gravel setting), selectable Ride Modes (SDMS), switchable ABS, and full LED lighting with an LCD dash.
