Suzuki DR650SE 2003 Parts & Accessories
Introduced in 1990 as the replacement for the DR600, the Suzuki DR650 (SP41–SP45 Generation) was Suzuki's entry into the heavy mid-weight dual-sport category. Designed to balance rugged trail performance with highway cruising, the initial generation featured a 641 cc single-cylinder engine with air and oil cooling (SACS), a high-compression 4-valve cylinder head, and twin counter-balancers to quell engine vibrations. The platform launched in several distinct variants across global markets, including the kick-start Djebel/Dakar and fairing-equipped RS/RSE models. In 1991, Suzuki introduced electric start (DR650RSE) alongside a 17-liter fuel tank, followed by the DR650R in 1992 featuring an updated exhaust system, a lighter 13-liter tank, and long-travel suspension.

Redesigned from the ground up for the 1996 model year, the Suzuki DR650SE (SP46 Generation) became one of the most iconic, durable, and longest-running dual-sport motorcycles in automotive history. Suzuki completely overhauled the 644 cc air/oil-cooled engine with a shorter stroke, lighter internal components, Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) electro-plated cylinder bore, and revised gear ratios to deliver smoother power and exceptional reliability. The chassis was updated with a stiffer frame, electric-start-only architecture, a stainless steel exhaust system, and a factory-configurable lowered suspension setting. Continuously produced virtually unchanged for over 25 years, the "Bush Pig" achieved legendary status among global adventure travelers and trail riders due to its air-cooled simplicity, low-maintenance screw-and-locknut valve adjusters, and massive aftermarket support.
