Suzuki PE250 1978 Parts & Accessories
Manufactured from 1977 through 1984, the Suzuki PE Series ("Pure Enduro") was Suzuki's purpose-built family of off-road competition and enduro motorcycles. Derived directly from Suzuki's championship-winning RM-series motocross platform, the PE lineup spanned three primary displacement classes—the lightweight PE175, the mid-class PE250, and the open-class PE400. Unlike the street-legal dual-sport TS series, the PE machines were uncompromising off-road racers equipped with enduro essentials such as headlight/flywheel lighting coils, quick-change rear axles, waterproof airboxes, and odometer/trip meters. The PE series evolved from early twin-shock rear suspensions to Suzuki's Full-Floater monoshock system in 1982, solidifying its reputation for bulletproof reliability and smooth, tractable two-stroke power delivery in ISDT and national enduro events.

- Engine Displacement Options: 172 cc (PE175), 246 cc (PE250), or 397 cc (PE400) air-cooled case/power reed-valve 2-stroke single-cylinder engines
- Power Output: ~24 HP @ 9,500 RPM (PE175), ~28–35 HP @ 8,000 RPM (PE250), and ~37.7 HP @ 7,000 RPM / 29.5 lb-ft torque @ 6,000 RPM (PE400)
- Induction & Fueling: Mikuni VM-series carburetors (32 mm to 36 mm) utilizing 20:1 premix fuel/oil lubrication
- Ignition System: Suzuki PEI (Pointless Electronic Ignition) with lighting flywheel
- Chassis Architecture: Chromoly or high-tensile steel double-cradle frame with lightweight aluminum swingarm and skid plate
- Front Suspension: 36 mm to 38 mm Kayaba pneumatic/coil-spring leading-axle telescopic front forks
- Rear Suspension: Dual Kayaba gas-charged shock absorbers (1977–1981) or Full-Floater single-shock monoshock system (1982–1984)
- Braking System: Internal expanding water-resistant mechanical drum brakes front and rear with quick-release rear brake linkage
- Transmission & Drivetrain: 5-speed wide-ratio (PE250/PE400) or 6-speed wide-ratio (PE175) manual transmission with heavy-duty chain drive
- Wheels & Tires: 3.00-21 front and 4.00-18 / 5.10-18 rear knobby tires on heavy-duty aluminum rims
- Dimensions & Mass: 830 mm to 850 mm seat height; dry weight ranging from 98 kg (216 lbs) (PE175) to 113 kg (249 lbs) (PE400) with a 10.6 to 12.0-litre fuel tank
