Suzuki RF900R 1995 Parts & Accessories

Introduced in 1993, the Suzuki RF400 / RF400R (GK78A) served as the entry-level sport-tourer in Suzuki's RF series, designed predominantly for the Japanese domestic market (JDM) to comply with local tier-license regulations. Visually sharing the distinctive Ferrari Testarossa-inspired side-fairing louvers, steel perimeter frame, and comfortable ergonomics of its larger siblings, the RF400 utilized a liquid-cooled 398 cc DOHC 16-valve inline-four engine derived from the GSF400 Bandit platform. Later revisions included Suzuki's Variable Valve Timing (VC) system, identifiable by red cylinder head covers, which broadened power delivery across both low-rpm commuting and high-rpm sport riding.

Produced from 1993 through 1998, the Suzuki RF600R (GN76A) was Suzuki's middleweight sport-touring offering, competing against machines like the Honda CBR600F3 and Kawasaki ZZ-R600. Built around a forward-canted 599 cc inline-four engine derived from the GSX-R600, the cylinder block was angled forward 55 degrees to lower the center of gravity, accommodate a massive 6-liter airbox above the carburetors, and enable straight-down intake charge delivery. The RF600R featured a distinctive U-shaped radiator for improved thermal management, a steel twin-spar frame, built-in fairing storage, and a roomy riding position tailored for long-distance high-speed touring.

Launched in 1994 as the flagship of the series, the Suzuki RF900R (GT73A) combined big-bore open-class performance with long-distance sport-touring comfort. Utilizing a 937 cc inline-four engine engineered from the GSX-R1100 crankcase architecture with smaller valves and 36 mm Mikuni downdraught carburetors, the RF900R delivered an exceptionally broad, linear torque curve. The platform proved its high-speed durability in June 1993 when a factory-prepared RF900R set a 24-Hour World Endurance Speed Record, averaging 246.00 km/h (152.89 mph) over 5,904 kilometers. Upgraded in 1996 with fully adjustable 43 mm cartridge front forks and Nissin staggered-piston front brake calipers, the RF900R offered high-speed stability and comfortable ergonomics until its discontinuation in 1999.
