Suzuki SFV650 GLADIUS 2016 Parts & Accessories

Introduced in 2009 as the successor to the original naked SV650, the Suzuki SFV650 Gladius was designed as a modern, accessible middleweight naked sportbike. Featuring aggressive European-inspired styling, a hybrid steel-trellis and aluminum frame design, and dual-tone color schemes, the Gladius refreshed Suzuki's iconic 90-degree V-twin platform for a new generation of commuters and sport riders. The model refined the engine architecture with dual spark plugs per cylinder, fine-spray 10-hole fuel injectors, and friction-reducing SCEM cylinder coatings, delivering exceptionally smooth throttle response and strong low-to-midrange torque. In 2017, Suzuki replaced the Gladius by returning to the classic SV650 badge, retaining much of the SFV650's core engine and chassis updates.

• 2009: Global launch of the SFV650 Gladius featuring a redesigned 645 cc V-twin engine, hybrid steel trellis chassis, distinct headlight/fairing design, and optional ABS.
• 2013: Introduction of updated dual-tone graphic packages, metallic paint options, and minor ergonomic adjustments for global markets.
• 2015–2016: Final production years for the "Gladius" moniker in Western markets, preparing the platform transition back to the third-generation SV650 frame and styling in 2017.
