Suzuki TL1000R 1998 Parts & Accessories

Introduced in 1998 as Suzuki's uncompromising weapon for World Superbike (WSBK) and AMA Superbike competition, the Suzuki TL1000R was engineered to challenge European dominance in V-twin racing. Building on the explosive 996 cc 90-degree V-twin engine from the TL1000S, the "TL-R" received forged pistons, lighter connecting rods, dual fuel injectors per cylinder, and revised camshaft profiles to deliver exceptional high-rpm power. To withstand racing stresses, Suzuki wrapped the engine in an ultra-rigid aluminum twin-spar frame and equipped it with aerodynamic, wide-profile full fairings. While its rotary rear damper and heavy track-focused chassis made it demanding on the street, the TL1000R achieved cult status as one of the most aggressive, distinctive, and raw V-twin super-sports ever produced.

  • 2001–2003: Final production run featuring black-finished frame options and minor mechanical refinements to the clutch and lubrication systems before retirement in 2003.
