Yamaha IT175 1977 Parts & Accessories

First introduced in 1977 and produced through 1983, the Yamaha IT175 (International Trail 175) was a dedicated two-stroke enduro bike developed as a lightweight, competition-ready machine for woods and cross-country events. Positioned between the IT125 and IT250, it borrowed heavily from Yamaha’s YZ motocross technology—including air-cooled 171 cc two-stroke power, Monocross single-shock rear suspension, and lightweight alloy rims—while adding off-road features like wide-ratio gearing, an oversized fuel tank, a headlight, and a quick-remove rear wheel system. Celebrated for its exceptional power-to-weight ratio and nimble handling, the IT175 earned widespread acclaim in ISDE and regional enduro championships.

• 171 cc air-cooled 2-stroke single-cylinder engine with Yamaha Energy Induction System (YEIS on later models) producing 24.0 HP @ 9,000 RPM and 15.2 lb-ft (20.6 Nm) torque @ 8,000 RPM
