Introduced in 2006, the Yamaha MT-03 originally debuted as an agile, single-cylinder "road-sailing" naked bike powered by the 660 cc engine from the XT660R, featuring a distinctive side-mounted rear shock. In 2016, Yamaha reinvented the MT-03 nameplate into a globally accessible lightweight hyper-naked sportbike based on the YZF-R3 platform. Powered by a high-revving 321 cc parallel-twin engine housed in a compact diamond-type steel frame, the modern MT-03 combines aggressive MT-series styling, upright ergonomics, and nimble handling, making it an ideal entry point into Yamaha's naked performance lineup.
