Introduced in 2016 as the flagship of Yamaha's hyper-naked lineup, the Yamaha MT-10 (originally designated as the FZ-10 in North America) succeeded the FZ1 by bringing true superbike genetics to the high-performance street category. Powered by a retuned 998 cc inline-four CP4 engine derived directly from the YZF-R1, it features a crossplane crankshaft for an uneven firing order, generating linear low-to-midrange torque and a distinctive exhaust soundtrack. Built around an ultra-compact aluminum Deltabox perimeter frame, the MT-10 combines stripped-down aggressive styling with dynamic handling, complemented on high-tier SP variants by semi-active Öhlins electronic suspension and a 6-axis IMU rider-aid suite.

• 998 cc liquid-cooled DOHC 16-valve inline 4-cylinder engine with 270°-180°-90°-180° crossplane crankshaft (CP4)
• Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) fuel injection with Accelerator Position Sensor Grip (APSG)
• Lightweight aluminum Deltabox twin-spar frame using the engine as a stressed member
• 43 mm fully adjustable KYB inverted front forks (or Öhlins Electronic Racing Suspension on SP models)
• Link-type Monocross rear shock with full adjustability (or Öhlins ERS monoshock on SP models)
• Dual 320 mm front hydraulic disc brakes with 4-piston radial-mount calipers, Brembo radial master cylinder, and single 220 mm rear disc brake (ABS standard)
• 6-speed transmission with Assist & Slipper (A&S) clutch and Quick Shift System (QSS)
