First introduced in 2001 as an off-road derivative of the revolutionary YZ250F motocrosser, the Yamaha WR250F is a high-performance competition enduro motorcycle. Designed for trail riding, woods racing, and GNCC-style events, the WR250F incorporates lightweight race technology—including Yamaha's bilateral beam aluminum chassis, rearward-slanted cylinder engine layout, and push-button electric start. Tuned with wide-ratio gearing, off-road suspension valving, enduro lighting, and smartphone-based ECU mapping, it remains a premier machine in global 250 cc four-stroke enduro competition.
