First introduced in 2008 and produced through 2020, the Yamaha WR250R is a premium 250 cc dual-sport motorcycle engineered to bridge the gap between hard-enduro performance and street-legal reliability. Unlike traditional budget dual-sports, the WR250R featured high-end components derived from Yamaha's YZ/WR racing program, including an aluminum main frame, a high-revving 10,000+ RPM DOHC 4-valve engine with titanium intake valves, electronic fuel injection, and fully adjustable long-travel suspension. It earned a legendary reputation in the adventure and dual-sport community for its highway capabilities, aggressive off-road agility, and remarkable 26,000-mile valve inspection intervals.

• 38 mm Mikuni electronic fuel injection (EFI) with EXUP exhaust valve system and TCI ignition
• Semi-double-cradle main frame featuring cast and forged aluminum sections with high-strength steel down tubes
• 46 mm KYB fully adjustable inverted telescopic front forks with 270 mm (10.6 in) wheel travel
