Yamaha XJR1200 1997 Parts & Accessories

Produced from 1994 through 1998, the Yamaha XJR1200 was a muscular muscle-bike and big-displacement naked standard designed to compete directly in the revival of heavy Japanese retro-roadsters. Derived from the proven powertrain of the FJ1200 tourer, it featured an air/oil-cooled 1,188 cc DOHC 16-valve transverse inline-four engine delivering 98 horsepower and massive low-to-midrange torque. Wrapped in a double-cradle steel chassis with broad handlebars, twin Öhlins rear shock absorbers (on higher-spec trims), dual front disc brakes, and classic twin-dial instrumentation, the XJR1200 combined timeless styling with effortless street performance before evolving into the larger XJR1300.
