Yamaha YZ426F 2000 Parts & Accessories

First introduced in 1998 with the groundbreaking YZ400F and later expanded into the YZ426F (2000–2002), Yamaha's YZ400F and YZ426F series permanently transformed the sport of motocross by proving that a four-stroke engine could successfully compete against and defeat dominant two-stroke machines at the world-championship level. Driven by Doug Henry’s historical 1997 Supercross victory on the YZM400 prototype, the production YZ400F brought high-revving 5-valve titanium DOHC technology, a ultra-lightweight chassis, and an unprecedented 11,000 RPM rev limit to local and professional tracks. The subsequent YZ426F refined this platform with a larger displacement, stronger engine cases, updated carburetion, and revised frame geometry before handing the baton to the YZ450F platform in 2003.

• 39 mm Keihin FCR flat-slide carburetor with Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and manual compression release kick-start mechanism
• High-tensile steel semi-double-cradle frame with detachable aluminum rear subframe
• 46 mm (YZ400F) / 47 mm (YZ426F) KYB inverted cartridge front forks with adjustable compression and rebound damping providing 300 mm (11.8 in) wheel travel
• Fully adjustable KYB rear monoshock with Link Monocross linkage providing 315 mm (12.4 in) wheel travel
• 250 mm hydraulic single front disc brake and 220 mm hydraulic single rear disc brake with Nissin dual-piston calipers
• 5-speed close-ratio manual transmission with heavy-duty multi-plate wet clutch and chain final drive
• 21-inch front (80/100-21) and 19-inch rear (110/90-19) spoked aluminum Excel rims with motocross tires
